Wellness is a philosophy of life in which individuals are active participants in their own health. It is recognizing that your health means more than just a lack of illness. There are 8 dimensions of wellness, including intellect, body, livelihood, environment, friends, family, spirit and emotions.
Dr. Megan Neyer consults with organizations on incorporating or optimizing wellness programs in their companies, and provides workshops on specific topics (see partial list below). Workshops can be specifically tailored to meet the needs of the organization. She also coaches individuals one-on-one as well as collaborates with other healthcare providers such as physicians, chiropractors, physical therapists, athletic trainers, exercise physiologists, and nutritionists to support the complete health of a client.
Issues such as anxiety, cancer, allergies and other autoimmune disorders (e.g., inflammatory bowel disease, fibromyalgia) can be treated from an integrative medicine/wellness model and clients can live well given these health challenges.
